MariaDB MaxScale: An Intelligent Database Proxy (Markus Mäkelä)

Databases are an integral part of modern technology and most everything interacts with a database, one way or another. Keeping databases highly available is what makes the world go around. One way to achieve this is to abstract the database by using a database proxy. MariaDB MaxScale is a new breed of database proxy for MariaDB and MySQL servers.
