Create and Connect to an FTP Server Running on Windows 11 (and Windows 10)

Windows 11 (and Windows 10) will allow you to install IIS (Internet Information Services) and let you configure an FTP site that you can use to transfer files back and forth over your network. There are several steps you need to perform such as creating an FTP user account, configuring the firewall and creating a folder to store your shared files. This process will work almost identically for Windows 10 computers. It’s also a good way to use a Windows desktop PC as a file server.
