In this video I upgrade my main gaming and content creation PC to the new flagship 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K and compare it to the 12900K for video editing and gaming!

I built this PC about a year ago with the Core i9-12900K. It’s been a solid platform, but I always thought it could benefit from a boost in core count. It turns out that’s exactly what Intel delivered with the new 13900K! Where the 12900K had 8 P-cores and 8 E-cores, the 13900K has 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores!

13th Gen Intel Core Processors are an expanded version of the performance-hybrid design that we first saw with Intel’s 12th Gen products, where you have a mix of P-cores and E-cores optimized for single and multi-threaded workloads, all working together. Plus, this generation brings a whole bunch of new improvements including higher clock speeds, bigger cache sizes, improved P-cores, more E-cores, 16 CPU PCIe 5.0 lanes, increased PCH PCIe 4.0 lanes, support for faster memory, and better overclocking capability.
