In this video we will see how to configure DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) in Cisco router. We will configure DHCP in router for 2 scenarios, first when we want to assign IP addresses for a single network connected to router and second when two or more networks are connected to a router and we want to assign IP addresses to systems connected to different networks from DHCP.
So first we will understand what is DHCP and why we should use DHCP to assign IP addresses to systems in the network, then we will understand DHCP configuration steps and then we will implement/configure DHCP on router and assign automatic IP addresses to network systems from DHCP.
We will also see how to create multiple DHCP pools on router to assign IP addresses to systems that are in different networks.
we will test and verify the configuration from systems as well as from router.
