Nvidia RTX 30 Series Graphics Cards Have A BIG Problem

A lot of PC gamers and hardware enthusiasts were looking forward to the release of Nvidia’s RTX 4080 graphics card. Many had a mindset that they would just wait for next gen graphics cards instead of overpaying for last gen cards. Once Nvidia announced the RTX 4080 at an obscenely high prices, a lot of people decided they would just find a deal on a previous gen RTX 30 series card like a 3080 or 3090 and call it a day. However, this has been driving the demand for those previous gen cards quite a lot and now they’re starting to go back up in price. Previously you could find a 3080 Ti for well below MSRP, but now it seems like they’re sitting at or are above MSRP when it comes to pricing. Which isn’t’ good at all, I would not be paying this much for 2 years old graphics cards, just seems like terrible value to me. Perhaps this was Nvidia’s plan all along, upsell to gamers to the more expensive 4090 and or clear out stock for the 30 series. The alternative is to buy AMD, as you can find GPUs like the 6800XT or 6700XT at great prices, much lower than their Nvidia counterparts. However, a lot of people seem to be attached to Nvidia’s mindshare. This is a terrible situation overall and, in my opinion, will greatly leave a negative impact on the market.
