  1. Uh, I don't support your POV. JavaScript is advanced than any other language with awesome features in the frontend and we always have NodeJS for the backend, plus thousands of utilies and libraries in the npm, docker registry…..and so many virtual DOMs like react, svelte, qwik, nextjs, angular, vue, etc. which are just *AMAZING*.

  2. Sure, pivoting is easy once you know programming.. doesn't mean you should move from language to language when you start.. makes more sense to get really good at one language first.. and Javascript if you are good you can get good at both back and front end with it… I disagree with your video.

  3. Every language are different, and have his differences and difficulties. Of course, if you learned C, you will be confortable to learn c++ than someone who knows nothing but somebody who knows SQL, SAS Unix can have also difficulties to learn C++ which is considered very hard in comparison of something like Java or JavaScript. There is no rules, in fact….depends of your motivation..

  4. As a guitarist, its not brands you learn. It's styles (jazz, folk, flamenco, etc). Kind of a big deal. However, it's doable.

  5. 1 week into learning JS…..The Internet sucks. 🤣 Just a bunch of contradictory advice from people you don’t know and truly don’t care if you succeed or not.

  6. No, that's not true. I am not a beginner at all, and I often face problems to solve in the backend which are very easy to solve in JavaScript but you have to do it in Java because it is what it is. I faced this situation recently and had to switch to Java and I did it but it was a pain.

Do you think dealing with complex lists and json operations is same between Java and JavaScript? No it's not the same at all.

  7. “Just learn what you like” – me 🤣
"Then try to get a job if you like. If don't get one, just make an app from your programming language of your preference and start your own company. If still unable to do so, just make a youtube channel or be udemy instructor, make some lessons of that language" -also me 🤣

  8. If it's true that it's like going from guitar to guitar, then you should learn Javascript so you can build everything you want from the beginning AND can adapt to new languages. Though I do think there's merit to learning a strongly typed language first (oh wait Typescript)
