The Monster Mystery Bash III is an 8-player knockout tournament where six invited GMs and two Arena tournament winners partake while wearing Halloween masks. The losers have to reveal their identity.

Each match consists of 4 games, 3x 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment, and if tied, they play an Armageddon game, 5 vs 4 minutes. The higher rated player will play with White in the first and Armageddon game. The final has 2 more 3+2 games. The total prize pool is $5,000 ($2,000 for 1st, $1,000 for 2nd, $500 for 3rd-4th, $250 for 5th-8th).
