ColdFusion (Lucee) Tutorial – Lesson 4 – Databases
I know, I know, it has been a long time. A very long time in fact. This video was recorded back in 2020. Since then a lot of things happened in my life. I moved from Norway to Sweden, got a new job, lost another job, got yet another new job, worked from home behind my PC day in day out writing documentation and had literally no energy anymore afterwards – as we were all in this pandemic etc etc – and now I am working shift and got finally time again to do video editing and decided it really was time to add more video’s to my YouTube. Anyhow, long story short, I now got you the first databases tutorial. More is coming though, for we don’t got much further into detail then the initial setup of our project and one way of displaying information.
I have been so kind though to give you the entire process, from creating databases in MariaDB/MySQL, creating tables, adding information to tables, setting up users for MySQL, setting up the Lucee Administrator for this database connection and then finally some code to display the data from the database.
Next time up will be to add and edit data as well and we will actually start creating a world example there.
