PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ( PUBG ) is anonline multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Studios , a subsidiary of the South Korean video game company Krafton . The game is based on previous mods created by Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene for other games, inspired by the Japanese movie Battle Royalesince 2000, and expanded into an independent game under Greene’s creative direction. In the game, up to a hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and gear to kill others while avoiding dying themselves.
