GPT-4 AI Plays A FULL Chess Game | ChatGPT
Open AI recently released GPT-4 as a successor to the original ChatGPT, a chat based artificial intelligence. The previous version was able to start a game of chess, but it would lose context of the board position within a few moves. With GPT-4 it was able to play nearly an entire game with issue (there was one illegal move attempted when it thought its bishop was 1 square off from where it was). What’s really amazing about this all is that ChatGPT was not programmed to play chess. Nobody at Open AI wrote code to teach it the rules of chess. The language model was just able to “figure it out”.
