VBS Mutual Bank curator says Zuma has no legal recourse to challenge mortgage judgment

VBS Mutual Bank curator Anoosh Rooplal says former president Jacob Zuma has no legal recourse to challenge the summary order granted by the Pietermaritzburg High court for a debt owed on his home loan, as he consented to the order. The court granted the summary order to the bank’s liquidators to recoup an outstanding six and a half million rand from Zuma after he defaulted on a loan of seven point eight million rand he took out from VBS in 2016. VBS was declared insolvent, bankrupt, and placed under curatorship in 2018.
