Nvidia Competitor SambaNova Launches New AI Chip

SambaNova CEO Rodrigo Liang joins Tech Check’s Deirdre Bosa on the launch of a new chip that the startup says is more efficient and cost-effective than those on the market. The company is seen as a competitor to chip giant Nvidia with its newest fourth-generation chip and full-stack platform, and most recently raised $676 million at a $5 billion valuation in a 2021 round led by Softbank Vision Fund 2.
