Day In the Life Of wheat Harvest on our Montana Farm 2021

In today’s video, I will take you for a ride down the road in my John Deere combine as we move to a different field. This newer combine can go a lot faster than my old 9610! I don’t hit any road signs, which is good. I drive past the schoolhouse and the old elevator on our Montana farm. We also dump our grain into the grain cart on the go! You will see some of my Dad’s great drone footage of the combines picking up winter wheat in the field. We listen to Grandpa on the radio. I stop for lunch in the field and visit with Grandpa and Dad! I show you what the Saw Flies look like that are destroying the stems of our wheat and the reason we have to swath it first. My Uncle Chirs is going to run my combine after dinner so I get a break. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoy my video!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17-year-old 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate’s Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
