Upgrading server 2022 standard Evolution to full Edition | Windows Server 2022 install on Hyper-V

Hey Guys!
Welcome to another tutorial from Login Computers. In this tutorial, I will show you guys how you can upgrade the Windows Server 2022 Standard Evaluation to Full Edition.

Windows Server 2022 Evaluation edition cannot be upgraded from the Settings – System – About and entering a valid purchased key (Error: The product key you entered didn’t work, Check the product key and try again or enter a different one. 0x80070057). But you do not need to reinstall your server and all of its services and components. Instead, we can leverage the PowerShell cmdlets to bypass this error.

Command

DISM /ONLINE /GET-CURRENTEDITION
This command will show you the current edition of your Windows Server
DISM /ONLINE /GET-TARGETEDITIONS
This command will show the edition of the Windows that you can upgrade to
DISM /ONLINE /SET-EDITION:SERVERSTANDARD /PRODUCTKEY:VDYBN-27WPP-V4HQT-9VMD4-VMK7H /ACCEPTEULA
This command will upgrade the server to Standard Full Edition

Please note, you must have a valid purchased Windows Server 2022 key for the edition in which you have an Evaluation copy installed.
