How to setup the TP-Link Omada SDN Controller in Proxmox LXC

This is the guide I built for setting up the Omada SDN controller on a Proxmox LXC. Little bit of trial and error, but this seems to work for me and hopefully for you

1vCPU/2GB RAM/8GB HDD – Untuntu 20.04

-update packages in LXC:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

-Install required packages:
sudo apt-get install mongodb jsvc openjdk-8-jdk gdebi-core -y

-Set default Java runtime to 8.x:
sudo update-alternatives –config java

wget https://static.tp-link.com/upload/software/2023/202303/20230321/Omada_SDN_Controller_v5.9.31_Linux_x64.deb

-Install the package:
gdebi Omada_SDN_Controller_v5.9.31_Linux_x64.deb
