Comcast Nightmare, Bridge mode setup. DHCP fail. Update: 6/5/22 in description

Update: A while back they hit it with a firmware update that changed the port again. Middle right, 1 port above power.

If you are having a DHCP fail, or not getting a connection to your modem using bridge mode. This is why.

Long story short. If you turn on bridge mode, the only active port is the bottom left port. NOT the one with the red stripe.

The rest of the video is me freaking out at how stupid Comcast is and what a nightmare they have caused my family.

From what I understand you will have issues running a router on top of a router. Bridge mode is what all Comcast modems should be set to if you have your own routers which almost everyone does. The fact no one that works for them understands how to install this is insane.

There is no mention of the fact that bridge mode only has 1 port active or which port that is. Even worse it’s not even the marked port.

The amount of stress and money this has cost me over a very long time is absurd. .
