My Perspective on the Steam Deck has Shifted a Bit… (One Year Follow-Up)

I’ve been using my #SteamDeck quite a bit over the past year. In that time, I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into #Steam games, emulation, and good ol’ fashion tinkering. While in my initial reviews I approached the Steam Deck as a device aimed toward AAA games, my actual usage has shifted my viewpoint in an entirely different direction.

Gameplay Recording notes:

All recorded gameplay was recorded using a docked Steam Deck targetting a 1080p output (720p resolution in-game) to an Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2. Due to awkward compatibility between the devices, low resolution mode is enabled on the Steam Deck to get the capture card to display at all. If any gameplay looks a bit too crispy, take it with a grain of salt. Games tend to look adequate in person, except Ghostwire Tokyo (which took too much fiddling to get right).
