DON’T INSTALL Chrome OS Flex onto a Windows PC with more than one drive to dual boot – HERE’S WHY!

So, after reading some questions in the comments about installing Chrome OS Flex onto a computer that has at least two hard drives or SSDs, for dual booting, and can you select what drive Chrome OS Flex is installed to?

Well the answer to that question is a big NO!!!

As you can see in the video, although I had a number of SSD drives on my Windows PC, Chrome OS Flex did not give me the option to select which drive to install. More so, it wiped out my Windows boot drive 🙂

If you want to dual boot Chrome OS Flex with Windows, or indeed, dual boot Chrome OS Flex with MacOS, it can be done.

The first method is to disconnect your Windows or MacOS boot drive, leaving just the second drive that you want install Chrome OS Flex to. Then install Flex to that second drive, which will be the only active drive in your Windows PC or Mac at this point. Once it is installed, connect your Windows or Mac boot drive. Now you can select between the two at the boot prompt for a Chrome OS Flex dual boot system.

The second method. Just make a live USB stick for Chrome OS Flex and then boot between that and your internal Windows or MacOS system drive.
