DayZ PVP vs PVE | Which should you be playing? | Does PVE help you prepare for PVP?

Should beginners start on PVE or PVP? I see it in chats and comments that PVE doesn’t help and its not how the game should be played. its obvious it can help in some ways but it won’t translate perfectly you must choose the techniques. example if you learn how to load and shoot your guns really quick on pve you 100% will be better at loading and shooting your gun on pvp, at first its hard to figure out the guns and mechanics of the game so it can help to start on pve when your not getting killed as often.
