The Aston Martin DB2/4 is often regarded as the first ‘Hatch back’ production car with plentiful luggage space whilst offering 2+2 seating. Just 451 examples were manufactured during the two year production period. A true ‘Grand Touring’ car with a 140 bhp, 6 cylinder twin cam engine, originally designed by W. O Bentley for the Lagonda car company, and capable of 120 mph. This example, was first supplied in April 1954, shortly after the introduction of the DB2/4 model at the Earls Court Motor show in October 1953.

The beautiful car we are delighted to offer has benefitted from substantial cosmetic and mechanical improvements including a body off restoration, commissioned by its previous owners and more recently, re-painted to the stunning colour of Aston Martin Jubilee Silver and received a total engine rebuild to the highest standards. Fitted with discs brakes to the front, auxiliary cooling fan, aluminium radiator and Torino alloy rimmed spoke wheels. Inside the cabin, the light blue hides, veneers and instruments and carpets are all in excellent order. In superb condition throughout, this car is supplied with a comprehensive history file including a photo journal of restoration, invoices, copy of original factory build sheets and certification. With FIVA papers issued in 2008 the car is eligible for many historic and classic car road events. Surely one of Feltham’s finest, a delight to drive and admire.
