RX 8900 XTX and RX 8800 XT Cancelled – AMD Quits The High-end Market This Will Hurt PC Gamers

A lot of rumours recently circulating on the web that AMD has cancelled their plans on releasing next generation high-end and enthusiast graphics cards. According to some sources Nav4 also known as the RX 8000 series will only have entry-level, low end, and perhaps midrange graphics cards. AMD will NOT have any GPUs in the line up that could compete with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. In this video I discuss how this can cause some major ramifications in the market. Even if you aren’t or do not buy high-end cards this will still affect you. I would love to be optimistic and think that with this change in strategy AMD is going to go aggressive again like they did with Polaris, but given their recent actions in the market I am doubtful of that. The same strategy will apply in the future as it does right now, unless you’re buying Nvidia’s top-end GPU, you’re better off waiting for discounted/clearance deals on last gen products.
