Installation can be completed in 4 easy steps:
1. Install Python 3.10.6 (Newer version of Python does not support torch). Be sure to check the “Add Python to PATH” checkbox.
2. Install Git.
3. Download the stable-diffusion-webui repository, by running the following command: git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui.git.
4. Download a model of your choice from the CivitAI webpage. Then run the webui-user.bat as a normal, non-administrator user (Double click).

The 4-Step process is a bit too much work for me, is there an easier solution?
I recently found an easy Installer and Launcher made by Mozoloa. All credit goes to leomozoloa. I already made my installation before finding this gem, so I didn’t have the chance to try it. But this tool seems very easy to use and makes a lot of sense for users who wants a “one-click” solution and packaged graphical user interface.

PSA: basically all models nowadays use a ‘.safetensors’ file format, with the exception of some older models or processes using ‘.ckpt’ format.
Be wary of ‘.ckpt’ files that you download online. It may contain malicious scripts inside.
Do NOT open the ‘.ckpt’ file unless you know what’s inside.
