Palia: MMO Meets Farm/Life/Community Sim

I don’t play MMOs. I am HYPED for Palia though, as it’s only just technically a MMO. It differs from the MMO formula in so many ways and has far more similarities with games like My Time at Portia, Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, Breath of the Wild and even the Sims, all while standing on its own two legs.
It’s being developed by Singularity 6, a 50+ person dev studio comprised of seasoned developers from Blizzard, Epic, and Riot. They even have a developer who was on the team responsible for developing Unreal Engine 4, the engine the game is currently being built on. A AAA studio working on a game that’s right up my indie, farm sim alley – that’s something I’ve never seen before.
It’s hard to compare it to anything else, as I don’t know of any game that’s quite like this. Maybe like a 3D Runescape if you took out the violence and replaced it with happy, chill vibes? It’s got me incredibly excited and I hope some of you can share in that excitement with me!
