Schedule Automatic Shutdown in Windows Server 2016

1. Prepare

– DC31 : OS Windows Server 2016

2. Step by step

– Create a file .bat automatic shutdown

+ Desktop – New – Text document – Rename : Shutdown – Open and type : Shutdown -s -t 90 // 90 second or you custom

– Copy to C: – Change shutdow.txt to shutdown.bat

+ Tools bar – View – Option – view – Uncheck : Hide extensions for known file types – OK

+ Change extensions .txt to .bat

– Schedule :

+ Right-click Start – Control Panel – Administrative tools – Task Scheduler – Create Basic Task :

+ Name : shutdown

+ trigger : dayly // or you ccustom

+ Start : 7/10/2016 ; time : 5:21:00 PM // or you ccustom

+ Action : Start program

+ Start a program – Browse… – C:shutdown.bat

+ Finish
