Dr. Pilne Sangma, UDP leader speaks before counting, 'Women will bring change in Meghalaya politics'

Here is an update from Meghalaya on Assembly elections. Dr. Pilne A Sangma (UDP leader & Party Candidate) from Meghalaya spoke on the prediction of poll results that will come out on March 2. She said that this is the first time women candidates have feeling so positive and expecting a change. Last time NDA government stayed in government and I believe that candidates from Garo and Khasi will come out with flying colours. Dr. Sangma said. “Women have excelled in almsot all the fields except in politics till now. We don’t have space for women in politics, for a long time politics has been dominated by male. Now, slowly and slowly many women are participating in politics. I feel UDP have believed in women candidates. When it comes to money, we are very weak but we have talked about issues and tried to convince people for growth of the state.”
