Should You Learn Object Oriented PHP?

So, do you have to learn object oriented PHP to learn PHP? Occasionally I comments under my OOP PHP videos, telling my viewers that “object oriented PHP is bad”, followed be a list of reasons… So I would like to clarify why you should learn Object Oriented PHP in order to fully become a PHP developer. 🙂
