India Now Has World's Second Largest Road Network; Gadkari Says, "59% Transformation in 9 Years"

India has set at least seven world records for its growing road network. The country’s road network grew by 59% to become the second-largest in the world. India has crossed China and is second only to the U.S. in terms of the world’s largest road network. The country’s road network now stands at 1.45 lakh kilometres, compared to 91,287 kilometres in 2013-14.
