In the shooting script of ALIENS (1986), the scene where Vasquez asks Ferro about Ripley was supposed to take place during a co-ed shower scene aboard the Sulaco. The idea of marines of both sexes showering together was to show gender equality within the marine corps. According to the actors, at the last moment, the decision to film it was left to the actresses involved, who weren’t too enthusiastic about the idea, so the scene was rewritten to occur in the locker room instead.
