*With DHCP enabled on the network:

In order for this to work, you must not be connected to the router at the time. Unplug your computer and restart the router to make sure.

1) Plug the router into the network via port #4 (marked red)
2) Wait until the router appears to have an IP address
3) Connect your computer to the router wired or wirelessly.

*With DHCP disabled on the network:

It’s best to factory reset the router before doing this.
1) Power on the router and wait a few minutes.
2) Plug your computer into the router via ports 1, 2, or 3
3) Using Internet Explorer browse to 192.168.1.254. By default, the router does not have a password so you should be able to log straight in.
4) Go to Home Network, Interfaces, Click on ‘LocalNetwork’, and then Configure (top right)
5) Add a new IP address for the router (e.g. 192.168.100.101 if the network’s current gateway is 192.168.100.253). The second box is the Subnet Mask and usually 255.255.255.0.
6) Click configure, untick DHCP, and apply.
7) Click on Configure and Edit/Add a new DHCP range that fits in with the existing network (e.g. 192.168.100.101 – .200 if the networks current gateway is 192.168.100.253)
8) Go to configure, tick DHCP again, and then apply.
9) Delete the previous setting (was 192.168.1.254). This will disconnect you.
10) Restart the router or unplug your Ethernet cable for 10 seconds then plug it back in. The router should assign you an IP address within the new range and you should be able to connect to the router on its new IP address. .
