Sound Re-Design: Gojo Satoru's Domain Expansion – [JUJUTSU KAISEN]

I apologize for the long upload gap between videos, dealing with some of this stupid stuff called “school”- gross..

Anywho—

Gojo Satoru.

And I want to do something for the man. As I was watching Jujutsu Kaisen, I arrive at his Domain Expansion episode. The visuals were cool and all but the sound effects lacked a little something when that Black Hole showed up. Then I thought.. what is it missing?

And now here we are. I added some bass for the Black Hole. Then I TRIED to use other bass sound effects as the ambiance for when Jougou was just floating there in supposedly “space” but oh boy do they just love messing up audio. So I went with a normal ambiance. And the whole concept I was trying to go for was the sound effects would sound muffled but unfortunately the sound editors I use doesn’t have that kind of feature. (This is why I took so long) I went through my sound libraries like a raccoon going through a dumpster. In search for muffled sound effects-

I only found some underwater sounds and low booms that kiiiinda was muffled. So good enough.

I totally gave up on finding muffled blood sound effects for the decapitation :/

I kept the little ‘Ding!’ at the end because I find it funny 🙂
