RTX 4090 (Asus TUF OC) Destroys 4k Gaming – 20 Games Tested
The RTX 4090 just launched and I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the Asus TUF OC model. The card is massive dwarfing my EVGA RTX 3090 FTW 3. I wanted to run a ton of game benchmarks at 4k and see how this cards handles it all. In summary the 4090 destroys games at 4k even with maxed out ray tracing and in some scenarios even without DLSS at all. At this point new CPUs will need to come out to help alleviate the CPU bottleneck I often ran into even at 4k. All tests here were run at 4k, but I might also test out my PC monitor which is an ultrawide running at 3840×2160. The games tested are: Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2, Kena Bridge of Spirits, Total War Warhammer 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Resident Evil Village, Baldur’s Gate 3, Control, Days Gone, Crysis 3 Remastered, Alan Wake Remastered, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Death Stranding Definitive Edition, Red Dead Redemption 2, Severed Steel, Tales of Arise, Devil May Cry V, The Witcher 3, Hitman 3, and Crysis Remastered.
