Steam Deck - Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Mucktorok Boss (Spoiler Warning!) Gameplay and Settings

Before Fight Settings: 0:01
After Fight Settings: 6:21
After Area is complete/Settings I used for completing the Temple: 19:40

This area is really taxing on the system and requires 3 different settings setups to complete. I completed the Water Temple with no crashes using the other settings in my Colgera boss video, Vulkan/20FPS+Dynamic /Update/Speed 150%, but when I got to the boss, crashes started happening a lot. I cleared the cache and that helped a little, but didn’t fix the crashes. These are the best ways I found to get through here with little to no crashes.

– Before Fight Settings speed up the game from 20FPS and it actually played ok, but the sound goes out of sync requiring the change of settings after the fight.
– After Fight Settings use OpenGL to render instead of Vulkan since Vulkan always crashed during the waterfall scene.
– After Area Settings will get you back into the game/open world.

20 FPS Mod File Contents. Create a new folder called “20FPSDynamic” Inside that folder create another folder called “exefs” Copy and paste the below into a notepad file. Save as whatever name like “version1” into the “exefs” folder ending in “.pchtxt”. Put the “20FPSDynamic” folder into your game mod folder by right-clicking the game in the Yuzu main menu – Open Mod Data Location. Mod credits: ChuckFeedAndSeed, patchanon, somerandompeople:

*BACKUP YOUR SAVE FILES! In Yuzu main menu, right-click the game – Open Save Data Location – Copy and paste all the files in this folder into a new backup folder in a different location.

– The Vulkan shaders loading in at a fast rate seems to be the cause of a lot of crashes in this area

– The scene with the waterfall after the fight in the main city was the main scene causing crashes and the boss laser attack

– Steam OS
