In this video I demonstrate upgrading SQL Server Express edition. The steps for upgrading SQL Server Standard edition will be the same. Download the installation file set from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sql-server/sql-server-downloads. PDM Professional uses SQL Server Standard or Enterprise, while PDM Standard uses SQL Server Express. For PDM 2022, it is best to use SQL Server 2019. 2019 must be at Cumulative Update 4 or later (SQL uses “Cumulative Update” instead of “Service Pack”). The latest Cumulative Update 18.
