I haven’t played with many lightweight distros but Bodhi has been on my list for a number of months now.
In this video I take a meander around it’s interface and I have to say that, overall, I’m impressed.
HTOP comes in at 199mb even on a virtual machine, and the look and feel of the desktop is impressive, and in no way looks like something out of the 90s – which can be a problem with some lightweights.
It’s based on the Ubuntu LTS (18.04) so benefits from a large software repository, so you are not restricted on choice.
For those with older hardware that creaks and groans under the strain of a more conventional distro, this could be the solution you have been looking for.
I hope you enjoy the video 🙂
