Sony TVs and Nvidia Video Cards Audio Issues @ 4k 120hz

Sony TVs and Nvidia video cards are having audio issues when using 4k120hz. An issue that has been plaguing audio enthusiasts and gamers for more than 6 months now. There is a thread on AVSForum with almost 2000 posts where users have explained their issues, and reached out to Sony and Nvidia but to no avail. Sony has not publicly mentioned this issue. Just recently Nvidia mentioned they’ll look further into the issue in a comment on Reddit. The only known fix at this time is to have an audio receiver that can send 4k120 signals.
