You can follow the steps below to install VMware Workstation 17 Pro software on your #KaliLinux computer.

Step 1: Open the Mozilla web browser on your Kali system and enter the webpage below in the address line and visit it.

Step 2: Download the VMware software to your computer by clicking the Download button under Workstation 17 for Linux.

Step 3: Before installing #VMwareWorkstation, update your Linux system’s software store.

Step 4: Next, download and install the necessary Linux kernels for the VMware software.

Step 5: Since you downloaded the bundle setup file to the Downloads location of your system, go to the relevant location.

Step 6: Edit the permission rights of the bundle file.

Step 7: After editing the permission rights of the setup file, start the installation.

Step 8: After installing the VMware program on Kali, find it from the start menu and run it.

Step 9: If you see the kernel package error in the VMware Kernel Module Updater window when you run the program, you need to download and install this package.

Step 10: When you see that the common and kbuild additional packages should be installed during the installation, install the dependent packages.

Step 11: After installing the necessary packages, when you try to install the kernel package again, you will see that it is successful.

Step 13: Run VMware Workstation again and click Install in the window that opens to compile the Linux kernels.

Step 14: When you complete the process, the license window of the VMware software will open. Accept the end-user and OVT Tool license terms.

Step 15: Activate the new version control every time you run the virtualization program.

Step 16: You can support its developer by joining VMware’s Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP).

Step 17: If you purchased VMware Pro, you should have the product key. You can activate the program by typing your product key in the activation window, or you can activate the trial period by ticking the option I want to try the program for 30 days.

Step 18: When the VMware Workstation 17 Pro main screen opens, you can check the version of the program from the About section.
