The Cloud Flare Images is a single product that store, resize, optimize and serve the images to different channels.

In most of the cases we need to deliver different variants e.g. size and formats of the images to different channel, this is handled by creating different image variants and storing them in a server or even to CDN. but this creates more over head to create ,store and retrieve the images.

The image CDN’s help here, the variants to the images can be easily created through Image CDN, upload the original image then create the required variants on CDN

Direct Creator Uploads – If you want the user directly upload the images, the Direct Creator Uploads feature of Cloudflare Images can be used.

The Direct Creator Uploads API lets you request single-use tokens. These one-time upload URLs can be used by your app to upload your user’s submissions without exposing your API Key or Token.

A typical Image Delivery URL looks like this:

Some of the important highlights

– The variants and different formats don’t count towards your stored images quota.
– images that is uploaded to Cloudflare Images can be marked as private, so it can only be accessed using an expiring signed URL token.
– Cloudflare Images offers multiple ways to upload your images.
– accept all the common file formats including JPEG, GIF and WEBP.
– Each image uploaded to Images can be up to 10 MB.
