One issue with many Google products is that Google tends to change the name and branding of their apps from time to time, making their product line confusing. One such product is their search and ranking tool now known as Google Search Console.
Some History about Google Search Console:
– August 2006 – Google launches “Webmaster Tools”
– Originally made to help website owners with Google Bot Crawler issues
– Helped improve SEO
– May 2015 – Google changed the name “Webmaster Tools” to “Search Console”

Currently, some official pages for Search Console are still titled “Webmaster Tools,” so the name can still be a bit confusing. Just know that it is “Search Console” and you can still use the site for help with your website’s SEO and ranking.
Google Search Console (GSC) can help you boost your ranking on Search Engines for 2021. Some ways GSC can help:
– The Overview Tab: This dashboard gives you a quick overview of your site’s statistics, including top search terms, crawler issues and responsive design issues.
– The Performance Tab: Gives vital info about search terms/queries and pages that are ranking. This can help you find better keywords for content writing.
– URL Inspector: Find out if your website is in the search index and if not, how you can submit it.
– Submit sitemap.xml to Google – Helps Google find and crawl your website so pages can be indexed and ranked in Search.
