Nvidia’s New KILLER GPU Feature Will Change EVERYTHING
Nvidia have unveiled a fascinating new KILLER GPU feature that could change EVERYTHING. We examine the new technology, which is a brand new neural compression technique that could be revolutionary for games and game development. Allegedly, this new tech will unlock a HUGE level of texture detail thanks a their new texture compression technique. So called Random-Access Neural Compression of Material Textures sounds very interesting, and we examine the real world effect this could have for future GPUs, potentially from RTX 50 and beyond. But just what is this new feature? And how will it effect real world gaming performance, ray tracing performance and features such as path tracing and mesh shaders?
