SteamOS vs Windows on the Steam Deck and Upcoming ROG Ally

With the Asus ROG Ally on the way and a year under the Steam Deck’s belt, is Windows a good operating system for a PC handheld? Does Valve and their SteamOS remain the champion or can the Ally embrace Window’s features like Game Pass and compatibility to take out the PC handheld king?

I’m testing with my stock Steam Deck in both SteamOS and Windows in 20 games! I’ll be comparing performance, and usability, and making the case that Windows on a handheld isn’t as bad as you think.
