How to install and configure DHCP Server in Windows Server 2019:
Step 1: Install DHCP Server
Log in to Windows Server 2019 with an account that has administrative privileges.
Open the Server Manager, click on the “Add Roles and Features” option from the Dashboard menu, and click Next.
Select “Role-based or feature-based installation” and click Next.
Choose your server from the server pool, and click Next.
Scroll down to the “Server Roles” section and check the box next to “DHCP Server.”
Click Next and follow the prompts to install DHCP Server.
Step 2: Configure DHCP Server
After the DHCP Server role is installed, launch the DHCP console from the Server Manager or start menu.
In the DHCP console, right-click on the server name and select “Authorize” to authorize the DHCP Server in Active Directory.
Right-click on the IPv4 node in the DHCP console, and select “New Scope” to create a new DHCP scope.
Follow the prompts to configure the new scope, including IP address range, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server, lease duration, and other settings.
Activate the new scope by right-clicking on it and selecting “Activate.”
If you need to configure additional DHCP options, such as DNS search domains or WINS servers, right-click on the server name in the DHCP console and select “Set Predefined Options.”
Select the desired option and click “Add” to configure it.
Apply the changes and close the DHCP console.
That’s it! Your Windows Server 2019 is now configured as a DHCP Server. .
