In today’s video, we will show you how to disable IPv6 in macOS.
Click on the apple icon at the top left corner of your screen. Select ‘System Preferences’ from the list. Go to ‘Network’.
Select the connection from the left side list. Click on ‘Advanced’. Look for Configure IPv6. Click on the dropdown list. You can set it to automatically, manually or link-local only.
Go to Spotlight search. Look for terminal. Click on it to open. Paste the command you can find in the description box below networksetup –setv6off Ethernet and press Enter.
Enter your password and click on ‘Modify Configuration’.
Go back to the settings window. Look for Configure IPv6. Click on the dropdown list. You now have ‘off’ option. Select it. Click ‘Ok’. .
