Resident Evil 4 Remake On Deck Is INSANE!
Resident Evil 4 Remake has just launched and WOW, it plays so much better than the Chainsaw demo on the Steam Deck.
In my video taking a look at the demo I was seeing just below 30FPS, sometimes dipping below 25FPS but now the full release is here we’re seeing a much higher framerate and way more stable too.
Make sure you have SteamOS 3.4.6. installed and running Proton Experimental but that will be selected by default anyway. I am running a stock Steam Deck, without cryoutilies or any plugins, the game is installed on my 1TB Sabrent Rocket. So, of course, if you do have cryoutilities and other plugins you may get even better FPS than me here.
Make sure to check out the video for my best settings for quality and framerate because Resident Evil 4 Remake On Deck Is INSANE! I’m so happy with how well it performs and how good it looks on the Steam Deck. Valve has definitely worked their magic on getting this proton update to make Resident Evil 4 remake play just as good as it does on Steam Deck.
