Hello everyone. Welcome to a new video on this channel. Today we’re testing a 17-inch device. It’s a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17 with a Ryzen 3 3250 U, its integrated Vega 3 Radeon Graphics, and 8GB of DDR4 Dual-Channel RAM. What’s really special about this device is that the Ryzen isn’t running at its stock 15 Watts TDP. As you can see, during ingame sequences in this video, it’s running between 20 and 25 Watts TDP. So there’s clearly a performance increase compared to the stock 15 Watts version. I’m really happy about this because Lenovo made a good choice in doing so. In my opinion, there’s nothing that speaks against releasing more TDP in a 17-inch device. Cooling should be simple in 17-inch devices with TDPs of up to 30 or 35 Watts.

Running the Ryzen 3 3250 U at only 15 Watts TDP would’ve been a pure waste of a lot of potentials. So all in all, I already have to give kudos to Lenovo for the general APU configuration. But what’s the performance like of this $400 device overall? I’d say it’s pretty good. Of course, there have been demanding titles that I’ve tested that didn’t run or ran only at poor FPS. For example, Warzone has been, in my opinion, totally unplayable. Also, Back 4 Blood ran on the edge. It’s still playable, but only between ok and barely playable. These 2 games are examples of titles that I personally wouldn’t want to play on the Ryzen 3 3250 U because of pretty bad FPS values or huge ingame lags.

But all of the other 18 titles that I’ve tested ran at least OK playable. That’s a stunning result. So you might guess it already. I can totally recommend this device for gaming in 2021 if you’re fine with playing at a reduced resolution and mostly at low settings. Also, the current price of around $400 in my country is simply a no-brainer.

So that’s it for my voiceover. I hope you’re going to like this benchmark compilation. If you do, feel free to leave a like and subscribe to this channel. I hope to see everyone at the next one. A lot of benchmarks are going to be released this week. Stay tuned and safe. Have a good day. Goodbye.
