Inter-VLAN Routing on a Layer 3 (Multilayer) Switch using Packet Tracer

We use Packet Tracer to show Inter-VLAN Routing with Layer 3 or multilayer Switch.
Layer 3 Switch performs two functions. First is Layer 2 LAN switching and the second is Layer 3 IP routing.
Creating VLANs provide us logical L3 interface on a switch which are known as Switch Virtual Interface (SVI). We configure these SVI to give them IP address and allow IP routing.
In some of the switches, we need to enable some features of Switching Database Manager (SDM). SDM manages the L2 and L3 switching information that is maintained in TCAM (ternary content-addressable memory)
One more feature enabled by the no switchport command allows the port to operate like a router interface rather than a switch port.
