WCW nWo Bash at the Beach 98 took place in San Diego, California on July 12th 1998. This show would turn out to be an incredible financial success for World Championship Wrestling; new viewers bought the PPV to see NBA stars Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman square off inside the ring. On one side, Dennis Rodman and Hollywood Hogan represent the nWo, on the other side DDP and Malone represent WCW.
Elsewhere on the card Bret Hart takes on Booker T for the WCW Television Title, Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero have a Hair vs Hair match, Saturn looks to settle the score against old friend Raven, and Bill Goldberg defends his newly won World Heavyweight Championship against Curt Hennig.
