Building ezNIX – How To Use Debian Live Build: Soup 2 Nuts

0:00:01 – Part 1
Here begins the preparation work I use to build ezNIX. Each step is documented and will guide the new Debian respinner to build their own live-build based system. The prep work is the most important part and the more care and attention given to the details will ensure success.

0:22:43 – Part 2
Here begins how to use live-build and the steps I use when building ezNIX. I walk through each step in the process and build an ISO. Everything can be adapted to your needs, but changes must be consistently applied throughout the build files for this to work.

01:04:34 – Part 3
Here begins using the ezadmin script to enhance the functionality, adding my user to the sudo group, optimizing the sources.list file, and upgrade to Buster.

01:21:34 – Part 4
Here begins a tour of the newly upgraded Stretch to Buster system. After using the ezadmin tool to upgrade to Buster, I look around at some of the package versions, show the new kernel and os-release file. Upgrading to Buster is a success.

All the build files can be downloaded from my Sourceforge page at:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/eznixos/files/eznixOS/

Download the eznix106-20200929.tar file (or whatever the currently dated file happens to be) and extract in your /home folder.
All the necessary instructions are in /eznix106/doc/

PS – Each of the four parts were previously uploaded as individual videos, this is merely the combined four part video series.
