Hello everybody. Welcome to a new video on this channel. Something special awaits you
today. Normally on this channel we mainly look at low-end systems that are just about enough for modern games, often they are not. But today I can offer you an absolutely high-end system. A custom build. To be more precise, it was a customer order to me with very special wishes. Yes, I build custom pc builds on the side. Take a look at my Instagram profile. It’s still new, but I’ll be documenting my PC-building projects there in the future and providing small but useful tips on PC tuning and building. But back to today’s system. It’s an Intel Core i7 13700K with a Thermalright Peerless Assassins 120 SE ARGB cooler, 32GB DDR5-6000 dual-channel RAM, a Zotac RTX 4070Ti 12GB, an ASUS B760 Pro RS motherboard. All components are installed in a Phantecs Eclipse P400A.
You’re probably wondering what the customer’s intention is with this PC. Well, the main purpose of this PC is to run Warzone with at least 144FPS. Because he is using a 144Hz monitor. But the PC should also be able to handle all games for the next 5 years. I would say that I succeeded very well with this build.
All current games are playable without problems in 4k and high to very high or even maxed-out settings. By the way, I have always used DLSS whenever possible. This boosts the FPS numbers on NVIDIA GPUs even more.
Normally, I would say at this point whether I can recommend the PC system in 2023 and what my points of criticism are. But let’s be honest. There is nothing to discuss with this build. I was more than happy and probably every user out there would be happy with such a system.
But let’s talk about the built-in CPU cooler for a moment: You have certainly seen that it is an air cooler. One of the best on the market today, thanks to 2 120mm fans. The Thermalright gets a bit louder under load but keeps the i7 13700K cool at all times. At this point, I would advise against AIO water cooling. They may have a temperature advantage over air coolers at the beginning, but in the long run, I can only recommend high-quality air coolers or custom water coolers. This is because most AIO water coolers cannot be refilled. And yes, even in almost completely closed water cycles, there is water loss over the years. Accordingly, the AIOs eventually become very noisy and the cooling performance decreases significantly.
But that’s just a side note on AIO vs air cooler.
I would like to thank you at the end of this voiceover. Thank you for watching my videos. Just enjoy the 46 minutes and 33 seconds of beautiful picture quality. Unfortunately, the computer is no longer in my possession, but I can once again enjoy 1080p and 60FPS. The next video will also be an absolute low-end video. Don’t worry, we won’t stay in the high-end sector. Stay safe and hopefully, we’ll see each other in the next video. Bye.
