Unsolved Kentucky Murders of Bill and Peggy Stephenson | Delphi Links?

On Sunday, May 29th, 2011, Bill and Peggy Stephenson, both 74 years old and loved in their community, were bludgeoned and st*bbed to death in their home in Florence, Kentucky. The crime scene was staged, bodies were posed, and the weapon was never found. Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department would describe it as “the scene they wanted found, and not the crime scene.”

12 years later, the case remains unsolved, but recently, a tip has led investigators to look into connections between their murders and Abby Williams and Libby German in Delphi, Indiana on February 13th, 2017. That crime scene has been described in a similar way for many years, and there is still speculation from the prosecutor that there could be more than one person involved. If so, is there other person(s) connect to Bill and Peggy’s case? Are they truckers?

Bill was semi-retired from an insurance investment company and ran his own ministry for passing truckers, while Peggy was a housewife and church organist. “Early on in the investigation, we had information that someone had been at the truck stop, looking for Bill pretty aggressively, banging on the door to the chapel, asking if anyone had seen Bill,” Detective Cox said.

An unknown DNA profile was found at the scene. “We had received some information from an individual regarding the Delphi murders in Indiana, and they had said, ‘For all of these reasons, we believe it may be the same person that was involved in the Stephenson case,’” Cox said.

Let’s have a look at why investigators are looking at connections in Delphi, Indiana, and what that means for the case against Richard Allen.
