[How To] Project Zomboid dedicated server (Linux) [2022]

In this video, I go step by step to show you guys how to install and configure a Project Zomboid game server using SteamCMD on Ubuntu 22.04. I cover port forwarding and how to find your IP address.

———-Bash Scripts———
– update_pzserver.sh
steamcmd +login anonymous +app_update 380870 validate +quit

– start_server.sh
cd Steam/steamapps/common/Project Zomboid Dedicated Server && bash start-server.sh -servername pzserver

———-Ports to forward———
Remember to forward the following ports to the LOCAL IP address of your server. To forward ports go to your routers settings, this is different for each router so you will have to consult your routers manual.
8766 UDP
16261 UDP

———-What is my IP———
To find your public IP address navigate to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ the ipv4 address is the address you will use to connect to your server with.
